Server & Storage Pre-Sales Specialist

Hands-on pre-sales role combining technical infrastructure expertise with proactive partner engagement.

 
About the Role

We’re looking for a Server & Storage Pre-Sales Specialist who enjoys being at the centre of technical decision-making and commercial outcomes.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to move beyond quoting and become a trusted technical advisor to partners and internal sales teams — shaping solutions, influencing deals, and supporting complex infrastructure opportunities.

You’ll work closely with sales, vendors, and partners across servers, storage, and infrastructure solutions, supporting opportunities from pre-sales design through to successful close.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Actively engage partners through regular outbound conversations to identify, qualify, and shape server and storage opportunities
  • Support the sales team by scoping requirements and influencing solution design
  • Prepare accurate, competitive quotes aligned to customer needs
  • Maintain strong working relationships with partners to drive ongoing engagement
  • Act as a technical escalation point during pre-sales cycles
  • Stay current with vendor technologies, promotions, and solution positioning

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical sales
  • Strong understanding of server and storage infrastructure
  • Comfortable with proactive outbound engagement and phone-based partner interaction
  • Able to balance fast-moving partner requests with solution-led conversations
  • Commercially minded, organised, and results-focused
  • Strong communication skills — technical and non-technical
