Solutions Engineer

About LEADER

LEADER Computers is one of Australia’s leading trade-only IT distributors, partnering with thousands of reseller businesses across ANZ. Our Cloud business unit is one of our fastest-growing — helping partners build profitable, recurring-revenue cloud practices across Microsoft and a broad portfolio of leading SaaS vendors.

We’re not box-shifters — we win by giving our partners expert technical guidance that helps them specify, quote, deploy and support with confidence.

About the Role

LEADER Computers | Adelaide, SA | Full-time, Onsite | CLOUD / IT Distribution Team

The Solutions Engineer is the technical backbone of LEADER’s Cloud business. It’s a genuinely hands-on role: you’ll own complex technical escalations across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and our broader SaaS vendor portfolio, while leading partner and internal enablement — presenting, hosting webinars and delivering structured training that builds real capability.

Working closely with the Cloud Business Manager and Cloud PDMs, you’ll be a trusted advisor and an educator in equal measure — someone who loves solving hard technical problems, enjoys teaching others, and is open to driving initiatives that scale the team’s reach.

What You’ll Do

  • Own technical escalations — Act as the senior escalation point for complex Azure, Microsoft 365 and SaaS technical issues from resellers and internal teams; triage, diagnose and resolve, coordinating vendor escalations (Microsoft ASFP support, vendor support agreements) through to resolution.
  • Present, host & train — Design and deliver 5 webinars / Ask Me Anything (AMA) sessions per week, based on selected required topics across the SaaS vendor portfolio, plus accreditation workshops and 1:1 / 1-to-many training on Azure, Microsoft 365 and vendor SaaS solutions — building product capability and selling confidence across the sales team and reseller partners.
  • Hands-on technical delivery — Build and maintain demo environments, deliver proofs of concept, demo the Azure portal and SaaS platforms, and architect cost-optimised solutions in response to RFQs and POCs.
  • Drive initiatives — Identify and lead technical enablement initiatives — Azure security labs, “how-to” series, automation, internal SOPs and FAQs — that lift partner capability and scale the Cloud team’s impact.
  • Vendor & product enablement — Stay current and certified across Microsoft and key SaaS vendor lines; maintain regular cadence with Microsoft PTS and vendor technical contacts; and act as the technical bridge between vendors, distribution and resellers.
  • Support & partner success — Provide responsive Level 1–Level 3 technical support during business hours, manage support tickets and SLAs, resolve issues, and feed partner insights back into the business.

Areas You’ll Cover

Microsoft Azure (architecture, cost optimisation, security, migration) • Microsoft 365 • Cloud security & backup • SaaS platforms across the vendor portfolio • Automation & scripting (PowerShell, Python) • Presales solution design • Partner enablement & training

 What Success Looks Like

  • A consistent cadence of 5 webinars / AMA sessions delivered each week across the required SaaS vendor portfolio topics, scoring 4/5 or higher on satisfaction
  • Escalations and support requests resolved within agreed SLAs (e.g. 4 business-hour first response)
  • A regular cadence of enablement delivered — security labs, certified training and partner demos
  • Growing partner technical capability, certifications and solution attach across the reseller base
  • Self-driven initiatives launched and adopted across the Cloud team

About You | Essential Experience

  • Proven Level 2/3 technical support or senior technical / presales experience, with strong Microsoft 365 and Azure expertise
  • Microsoft certifications at an intermediate to advanced level.
  • Confident presenting and training — in person and via webinar
  • A natural communicator who can translate complex technology into clear, commercial language for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Hands-on, proactive and open to driving initiatives without waiting for direction — a genuine “finisher”
  • Scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python) and familiarity with the broader SaaS ecosystem highly regarded
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. Azure Administrator or Architect, Microsoft 365) — or the drive to obtain them quickly

Our Values

We’re looking for someone who brings a positive attitude, integrity, and ownership to everything they do — a proactive problem-solver who follows through, communicates clearly, commits to continuous learning, and helps make LEADER a great place to work.

What We Offer | Benefits

  • A pivotal, high-visibility role with direct impact on partner and business outcomes
  • Exposure to leading global cloud and SaaS vendor technologies and ongoing certification opportunities
  • Paid training and certifications, structured coaching and regular check-ins
  • Attractive incentives, special staff-buy pricing on 10,000+ IT products, and genuine career development
  • A supportive, collaborative team culture that celebrates wins together

You also have demonstrated experience acquiring new customers through networking, calls, meetings, and industry events, along with a solid understanding of the IT industry and channel landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute territory attack plans focused on Enterprise Networking, Surveillance, and Access Control.
  • Rigorously track all prospecting activity, touchpoints, and conversion rates.

In-House Market Share Growth

  • Drive greater wallet share within new partners by identifying barriers preventing them from moving to Ubiquiti if they currently sell competing brands.
  • Work closely with the local sales team and branch managers to drive significant growth.
  • Conduct business reviews with new partners to identify displacement and co-sell opportunities.
  • Position Ubiquiti full-stack and campus solutions as the brand of choice.

About the Role

LEADER Computers | Adelaide, SA | Full-time, Onsite | CLOUD/ IT Distribution

The SaaS Product Manager drives the growth and management of LEADER’s SaaS portfolio — 10+ vendors spanning our full SaaS offering. It’s a creative, commercially minded role focused on building complementary solution bundles, accelerating recurring-revenue growth, and owning vendor relationships, programs and go-to-market end to end.

You’ll be central to scaling LEADER’s SaaS business: identifying offerings that complement each other and our Microsoft Cloud stack, packaging them into compelling propositions, and working creatively across sales, marketing, operations and vendors to deliver predictable, measurable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow the SaaS portfolio — Own the growth and commercial management of 10+ SaaS vendors; identify, onboard and ramp new SaaS offerings that complement the existing portfolio and the Microsoft Cloud stack.
  • Drive vendor management — Manage vendor relationships end to end — programs, incentives, MDF / co-op funding, rate cards, quarterly business reviews and forward funding — maximising vendor program ROI.
  • Build complementary solutions & bundles — Work creatively to package SaaS offerings into complementary cross-sell and upsell bundles that increase attach rates and grow partner wallet share.
  • Drive growth campaigns & GTM — Partner with marketing, sales and vendors on integrated campaigns, lead nurturing and enablement that convert pipeline and grow recurring revenue.

  • Growing cross-sell and solution attach rates across the partner base
  • A scalable SaaS go-to-market playbook adopted across sales, operations and marketing

About You

You are a commercially minded product, vendor or portfolio manager with hands-on experience in the SaaS or cloud channel. You are creative and growth-focused — you enjoy building bundles, campaigns and new propositions, and you take ownership of revenue, pipeline growth and return on investment.

You will bring strong vendor relationship and program management skills, ideally including MDF or co-op funding programs, and you’re a confident multitasker and finisher who sees projects through. Familiarity with the Microsoft cloud ecosystem (Azure and Microsoft 365) and a broad range of SaaS platforms would be highly regarded. Above all, you’re an excellent communicator who enjoys collaborating across sales, marketing and operations to achieve shared goals.
